A new school year brings a new opportunity to help children of the Amazon! For the 10th year, we are assembling school kits for the indigenous students of Puerto Nariño. The pandemic has devastated the local economy– your donation is so important to enable the children to remain in school. The wonderful nuns at the Puerto Nariño Boarding School will distribute the kits on my behalf because of Covid-19 travel restrictions. This year we are offering beautiful items designed by Catalia Estrada for your donation of at least $40 USD. Choose a colorful scarf celebrating the culture of the Amazon or a fabric bag and notebook (available only in Colombia). Un nuevo año escolar, una nueva oportunidad de ayudar para llevarles kits esoclares a los niños del Amazonas y fomentarles el estudio. Este año no viajaré a entregarles los kits, como lo he estado haciendo desde el 2012, por motivo del COVID-19, pero las monjas del Internado de Puerto Nariño serán mis mejores aliandas para esta tarea.
